There's a search bar at the top of the front page and on the "All Beats" section.
1. Click on the "What kind of track are you looking for?"
2. Type in the name of the beat and wait till it shows up.
If the beat still doesn't show up please send us a message: support@bigbadbeats.net
What happens when licence expires?
Once the license expires, you can contact us to check if the instrumental is still available for license renewal or license upgrade. If you see that your song is blowing up, we suggest to contact us immediately in order to buy exclusive license rights. That way, you will not get in a sticky situation where your songs are becoming a hit but your license is about to expire and the exclusive beat license has been sold.
Can the license type be upgraded after the purchase?
Yes. If you want to upgrade your license type, please contact us by email support(a)bigbadbeats.net. You only have to pay the difference.
What happens to other licence holders if i buy an exclusive licence?
If you buy an exclusive license, the beat will be removed from the shop and will not be sold from there on. Current license holders for the beat will still be able to use the instrumental as per the license terms until expiry of the license – but will not be able to renew the license.
Will I own the beat exclusively once I purchase it from your website?
No. All purchases made from the website are non-exclusive. This means that the producer still owns the rights and we will still be able to license it to other artists.
Do you offer FREE BEATS?
Some of our beats have a "FREE" download option. "Free" downloads are only for demo and non-profit purposes. Please purchase a license to use our instrumental beats commercially. As an example, streaming services such as Spotify and videos with advertisements on Youtube land under this commercial usage.
What is your REFUND POLICY?
2. Beat licensing:
What is Beat Licensing?
Beat licensing / beat leasing, is the exchange of money for the legal rights to use a beat as outlined by the licensor. This license grants permission to use a beat up to a certain number of sales/streams, or a certain amount of time (legally known as the “term”). Once these limits have been reached, the license expires and another license will need to be purchased or the license needs to be upgraded to continue using the beat.
There are two main types of licences: "non-exclusive" and "exclusive". A “non-exclusive license” means more than one artist could legally license the beat. Once you record your vocals to a beat that was licensed to you, that new song is called a derivative work. Even though you just made a new song, you only own the copyright to the lyrics. The producer still owns the copyright to the beat.
Why should I lease a beat?
In today’s ever changing musical landscape, keeping a consistent release schedule is crucial for all artists. Therefore, purchasing beat licenses is the best option for majority of artists. If you’re an artist who simply wants to make a song, either for yourself, or for all your fans to hear, non-exclusive licensing gets you access to high quality productions without having to break the bank (Exclusive Licenses can vary anywhere from 500$ to 10 000$+). This allows you to spend less, you can invest more on marketing and promotion, which in turn allows you to gain more fans, letting more people experience your music.
